It's not ideal when it takes you at least half an hour to reach your workplace. Not everyone owns a car and using public transportation every day is not something people look forward to. Not to mention how expensive it can be. One solution for this is to ask your employer for a transfer to a different branch. One that is closer to you and quicker for you to reach.

How to write an internal request to transfer from one branch to another?

When writing your request letter to your employer, you need to write all the information that your employer needs to have in order to make their decision. Tell them how far away you live and how difficult it is to commute each day. Also, let them know that you are a good employee and you don't want this distance to affect your performance at work.

Example of a direct way of asking for a transfer from one branch to another:
I would like to express my wish to be transferred from the current branch name to the target branch name. The reason being is that it is closer to my house and I have been spending a lot of time commuting back and forth every day. If I spend less time on the road then I will have more energy while at the office, which will have a positive impact on my work. I kindly ask you to consider my transfer request.
